Cashmere Care

How to care for your cashmere scarf

Wash

Cashmere is a natural animal fiber, so the best way to wash your cashmere scarves is to hand wash. Using a wool-friendly soap product, add a drop to a bowl of lukewarm water and gently hand wash the scarf. Allow the scarf to soak for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cool water. Do not wring. Dry flat. Avoid direct sunlight.

Pilling

The friction of wearing your cashmere scarf causes tiny balls of fluff to form. This is a natural process and it can gently remove with a cashmere comb. To ensure less pilling,  avoid using your scarf with a hard hand bag or rough jacket. Pilling will be reduced if you regularly care for your cashmere.

Storing

Moths are much less attracted to clean scarves. To make your product last longer, store your scarves in a breathable zip-up plastic bag. Inside the bag, you can place cedar wood balls that will repel moths and are a natural alternative to traditional mothballs.
